H'IT'!
TV - 'REAL' TALENT TO REVOLUTIONISE TV
Had
enough cooking, travel and property renovation shows
to enable you to feast your family in an obscure location
in a house you transformed from trash? Wouldn't you
rather some more money, fame, sex and power in your
life? Now its Australia's chance to have a say in
what hits the small screens in our lounge room. A
revolutionary TV reality show is breaking new ground
and empowering viewers to be part of the next generation
of TV content.
H'IT'!
TV is seeking local actors, musicians, artists, designers,
directors and other creative types aged 18-39 to make
their kind of TV and win their share of $100,000 cash
plus royalties, travel and Hollywood agent representation.
International award-winning creative director Brett
Clements (The Video Board Game Nightmare/Wonder World!/Just
For The Record/The Aquanauts), has licensed H'it'!
internationally and Australia is the first territory
to put the show into production.
"They
say 50% of all new inventions come from those outside
the field and H'IT'! will give the next generation
of digital TV makers an opportunity money can't buy
to break into the business and make their mark,"
Clements said in launching the revolutionary format.
"Technology has put media tools and production
skills in everybody's hands. It is no big secret.
Its all push play and auto-focus. All you need is
ambition and imagination and an opportunity. This
is H'it'!"
In
launching the revolutionary format, Clements said
"H'it'! gives contestants their best chance to
put their best foot forward as they produce their
own 60 second 'audition video' and send it in. This
makes it a lot more attainable for those living in
regional areas. The outstanding entries are compiled
and tapes are sent for the judges to review and comment
on from their remote locations.
"We
have been successful in attracting the high calibre
of judges that we have because the show and judging
format is designed to liberate new talent, not castigate
or intimidate it."
An
impressive and growing panel of judges, including
Hollywood director Phil Noyce (Patriot Games/The Saint/Rabbit
Proof Fence), international artist manager and promoter
Glenn Wheatley, advertising young gun Jack Singleton,
the Vice President of Universal Television Asia Pacific,
Mr Martin Lyall and other industry icons will help
select the best 12 creatives to be brought together
for six weeks to make TV history.
Contestants
must be aged between 18-39 and will be selected from
every State and Territory in Australia. They will
live and work together completing a number of production
'challenges' before being turned loose to turn their
best three ideas into TV shows. The team that produces
the show that Australia votes for, will win the best
the industry has to offer. They'll share in $100,000
cash, royalties from any sale of their show, a trip
to MIPCOM in Cannes and Hollywood representation.
To enter H'it'!, applicants will need to produce a
60-second video 'advertisement' on themselves. Full
entry details and the Application Form are available
from www.hittv.tv
Applications close October 31, 2003.
