How
Webjet Evolved
Webjet
established itself within the travel industry by removing
complex and interdependent booking arrangements, harnessing
emerging technologies and putting consumers in the
driving seat. Flight schedule and fare information,
previously only available to travel agents, was made
available to consumers. Webjet has since grown to
become Australia and New Zealand's leading online
travel agency. Webjet
Hotels also enables consumers to book suitable
accommodation at the same time as transport, including
car hire, creating a seamless travel booking experience.
Webjet's key focus areas are Australia's largest cities
of Sydney and Melbourne
domestically, while also catering for popular international
destinations such as Bali, Singapore and Thailand.
Webjet
is a licensed Travel Agent (no: 32282) and a member
of the Travel Compensation Fund, operating and complying
with the obligations set out in the Travel Agents
Act 1986.
Webjet
arranges ticketing for electronic bookings ( license
023 5566) and for any paper tickets issued, which
are processed by a ticketing operator ( license 023
4391). For paper tickets, your credit card funds are
transmitted direct to the ticketing agent under secure
site encryption using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
Webjet is a public company, (code: WEB), having been
listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in March 2000.
